drivebusiness books up with Room to Read
drivebusiness is delighted to have been able to support the recent Room to Read fundraising event held at London's prestigious Le Café Anglais.
We were honoured to take part in the event which raised over £400,000 for a much deserving charity which aims to provide educational opportunities to children living in poverty around the world.
Our table of eight included a mix of staff and clients who all enjoyed a mouth-watering meal prepared by Rowley Leigh and his team.
Stephen Ritchie, CEO, said: "It's always really exciting to be a part of an event like this and to support such a worthy cause.
"Learning is a key factor in everyone's develpment and if we at drivebusiness can do something - no matter how small it might be in the grand scale of things - to help children escape the poverty they're living in, we will. We are all constantly learning in life and in business but if we can't give these opportunities to the people that need them the most, how can we ever see our world change for the better."
Room to Read was founded by former Microsoft executive John Wood on the belief that 'world change starts with educated children.' The charity establishes educational institutions - schools and libraries - and provides books and other learning collateral to help create opportunities for children struggling in poverty.
